Wild Wing Plantation has undergone many changes since 2006 but remains one of strong points in Myrtle Beach golf. The Avocet opened in 1993as a signature course by Larry Nelson and Jefff Brauer and remains a course where each hole is memorable for its enjoyment, aesthetics, and playability.
Creative contouring presents elevated tees and greens, double fairways, grass bunkers, and even a double green serving two holes. Water plays a strategic role in the design of the Avocet and throughout the year, the Myrtle Beach prevailing winds come into play.
All 18 holes are challenging, but a fair test of the player’s skills.
