Designed by Dan Maples, the West course is links-style with lots of open stretches complemented by thick displays of pampas greens.
The 18th hole features a dramatic finish along the bluffs overlooking the Calabash River. The key on 18 is hitting the tee shot just short of the bunker at the corner of the fairway. Club choice is key on this tee shot because shots hit into or over the bunker are immediately in danger of making double bogey. A well placed shot in front of the bunker will give players from 190 to 220 yards left into the green.
This northern Myrtle Beach area course is a long-time golfer favorite.
