Located on the north end of the Myrtle Beach golfing area, Panthers Run is the second “oldest” of the big cat courses.
Designed by Tim Cate, the 18-hole layout features rolling, wooded land with rambling brooks and ponds. Water comes into play throughout the course, testing the golfer’s ability to stay out of or hit over water.
Panther’s Run features large, multiple tee areas giving golfers of all skill levels a fair shot at making par. For the ladies, the course offers two sets of tees, a rare option at other courses.
From the back tees, Panther’s Run measures 7,089 yards with a slope of 141 and a 73.5 rating.
Other yardages, slopes and ratings are as follows: blue tees: 6,706/131/71.0; white tees: 6,267/124/69.6; gold tees:5,546/111/67.5; and red tees: 5,023/116/69.7.
Panthers Run is still a favorite among Myrtle Beach golf courses.
