Course of the Week: River Landing
This week’s course of the week is River Landing, and while it may not be on the Grand Strand it is an ideal course to play on the way in to Myrtle Beach. Located in Wallace, River Landing has two 18 holes courses. The River, and the Landing are both designed by Clyde Johnston who has crafted numerous gems such as Shaftesbury Glen, Glen Dornoch and Wachesaw East.
Steve Sprouse the superintendent keeps this course in spectacular shape from tee to green, so much so that it has hosted numerous U.S Open qualifiers. They have also added the new champion Bermuda grass which has really taken well and putts smoother than a baby’s bottom. Either course is a delight, and we highly encourage you to check it out on the way in to Myrtle Beach. For a post round meal, checkout the Mad Boar, as Johnny says, “ the groceries over there are mighty fine!”
