If you are like me fantasy football is a weekly ritual during the fall football season. Studying, creating lineups, talking junk to your friends, and hopefully unlike me you won some games. The Super Bowl ends the fantasy football season, however The Waste Management Open ushers in a new and equally entertaining season. The Fantasy Golf Season! Like fantasy football it really makes watching the tournaments exciting, because each week you have a stake in the tournament, whether its money, bragging rights, a humiliating bet between friends, or your first child’s name.
My roommate is the one who initially got me into fantasy golf. The concept is simple, each week you get a salary cap
to pick 6 golfers you expect to do well, and it enters you into a contest versus thousands of people across the world. It has evolved from just my house, to being a weekly contest between the Coastal Golfaway staff, with Alvin currently leading the pack after picking Brandt Snedeker in his top 6 last week. This week the picks are in for the Northern Trust Open, and I am looking to start a comeback. I had to spurn local boy Dustin Johnson, but I am going with:
