These are not standard hotel rooms.
Dining is a legitimate part of the experience here. The Mediterraneo restaurant sits on a terrace overlooking the pool and serves a four-course Mediterranean menu. La Palapa handles seafood and fusion at the beach. The Solaya Spa has 12 treatment rooms, indoor and outdoor aqua gardens, a sauna, hammam, and a full wellness program. For a resort this size, the amenity depth is impressive.
The Golf
Punta Espada is right next door. As an Eden Roc guest you have easy access to what GolfWeek ranked as the best course in the Caribbean and Mexico for over 12 consecutive years. The combination of staying at a Michelin-recognized Relais and Chateaux property and walking off the 18th at Punta Espada is about as good as a golf trip gets in this part of the world.
The Bottom Line
Eden Roc is not for everyone and it is not priced like it is. But for the golfer who wants a step above, it delivers on every front — the property, the dining, the service, and the golf.
